Have you taken a look lately at your competitors’ sites? A real deep look? Have you compared the amount of different media they have, they type and freshness of their written content, which keywords they use, what their phrases they rank for, what niches do they use to spread the word, which social sites they […]
Content is King. It is what negates SEO updates by creating permanent SEO. Creative, original, fresh, and engaging content can take many forms and make your online presence engaging and productive. Did you know you much of this can be done automatically? And my written content can be copyscaped for free upon request!
Engaging Content comes in many forms:
Currently I write and co-create blogs for OurPlatinumYears.com. I have 17 years of experience as the editor of an in-house monthly newsletter that was an average of 8 pages a month for a Meredith Corporation TV station in Kansas City. As editor I also had the fortune of writing a great deal of the content, formatting and updating the newsletter layout 3 times, and creating some of the graphics found in each issue. I even received an annual award from Meredith Corporation for my efforts: Fiscal 1999 Annual Corporate Service award from Meredith Corporation (seen right).
I have and continue to use HootSuite to help clients with their launches with a 2 month social marketing campaign on two Twitter accounts (VirtualWebAsst and golddenest), my Facebook page, and on LinkedIN with every website creation or migration package. There are times I also throw this in to help with other launches and campaigns as well; but this is as much for my clients as it is for my followers. I have also written or created content (of different types) on the accounts shown here.
Outside of the 17 years as editor of TAKE5 in-house newsletter (in print and final years online), I have created a number of e-newsletter layouts (seen left) and edited the content. They required use of various theme editors supplied by: MyNewsletterBuilder.com, Constant Contact, and soon my own (automatic publishing) newsletter via MailChimp. I also assist in merging this marketing info with Google Analytics.
Well, my 30+ years of experience in this field and the use of Adobe Creative Suite make this the most creative, original, and innovative content I can provide my clients. Video content is HOT, especially now since Google owns YouTube. Did you know YouTube is the 3rd most used website in the world? And considered the first search engine by many. And we are not just talking “How-to” videos. Check out some of the things I’ve done for clients on my YouTube Channel… DenPikeyProductions!
Whether it is just an added photo or created graphics, this is one content that I feel is under utilized. Yes, these don’t add to SEO; but they do add to your readability and credibility. And, if done right, they don’t have to hurt your SEO.
