Downloads are a big draw, if they are done right and with the utmost of professionalism. Also, have you ever signed up for a newsletter? Maybe you could use some download help for your website. Do you have some good content, maybe a blog that gets more hits than your competitors whole site? Why not […]
Media…Let me count the ways.
Think big folks, these services are for anywhere you are on the Internet; not just your website! Anywhere you can show, share, post, connect with others, making your online presence even better with my web creative services.
Video from audio? The audio can come from webinars, phone conversations/interviews, podcasts, etc. Then add some creative video, photos, graphics, text and VOILA! you now have the most sought after content on the web. Adding audio to your website, especially ones where your customers are asking about your product or service can create a myriad of reasons for folks to visit your site, like your FB page, even buy your product. What can video do for you?
Video. This can be created from endless sources. Testimonial videos. One of my brilliant clients decided to have their assistant record testimonials after one of his speaking engagements, so from creating a branded pre and post graphic, editing the testimonial videos together, and adding music and text; then creating a “thumbnail” photo of the testimonial speakers … it was used on his website and on other web locations like his Author Central page. Such productions can be made easily and less expensive than most think.
Audio editing, even though this isn’t the most requested service; it is important if you have an online audio presence. Podcasts, webinars, even phone Q&A with your clients can be great ways to share with your clients as they peruse your site. But glitches or pops or things you said that you didn’t mean to… it all can be edited out so your audio presence can be the best for everyone. This is also a time to fine tune the audio that is going to be made into video. It shows your clients/customers that you are reaching out to them in ways your competitors may not.
Graphics. Let’s talk infographics, logos, favicons, … those things that speak a thousand words with one look. The most important thing these iconic pictures do for every business, any size, is to claim your brand. Especially if you have more than one product or have a LOT of competitors offering the same service. Logos, colors, design, are all a part of your brand, that at a glance can say what you want to say. Research says it takes most folks 3 seconds to decide to stay on a website/consider the product or service or move on. In the example left, the lower left photo came from 123rf.com, their prices and selection are amazing, I just added the clients logo on the back wall. So many different ways to achieve your objectives. This site is a plethora of ideas, enjoy being inspired.
Animation. So I haven’t done much on this, but when clients tell me they think some simple animation will help their site/their product stand out I can provide it for less. And as time consuming as this is, it is like those flip books we created back in school…. but WAAAAAAY better. To see it on top of a website or other social venue, give me a call.
PPTs. These go so far beyond “documents” it is virtually limitless. Since MS PowerPointT 2010 you can not only add video to your presentations, but you can save them as video!! Upload them to your YouTube channel, share them on your “Support” page, and with the simple “transitions”… you can make simple animations/cartoons too. Too much fun and versatility for one “document” to contain.
PDFs, Newsletters, Word Documents or other “download now” items are a big draw in many instances. But a plain page with no graphics or branding… well does it make the content of such downloads more or less professional looking? Word doc, PDF, etc. templates can be created once for you to use over and over. It is like the gold leafing that surrounds the awards you have received, it is a small (yet sometimes powerful) way to add to the presentation.
With constant changes on how they compute who gets the top billing when folks type in search queries, the major search engines keep SEO in flux. As recently as December 2012 Google made changes to their “search quality”; more specifically their search algorithm! Then there are the new players in the game. Since Google now […]
A picture is worth a thousand words; well actually when it comes to media on your website that sort of works in reverse. You know that graphics, especially infographics, and video are hot now-a-days. But did you know that too many graphics and videos can hurt your site’s ranking? The search engine bots love things […]
First let me state that my 17+years publishing an 8 to 20 page monthly newsletter has taught me the respect this underutilized advertising venue deserves. Especially in this age of electronic human connection and instant website access, newsletters (or e-newsletters as they are now called) are not only evolving, but becoming the extension of this […]
Branding for Companies is usually quite obvious… their logo, their name, their catch phrase, their colors, their mascot, their product, etc. For individuals it can be as simple as a basic blog/website, or a photo with a LinkedIn profile, or even just a Facebook page. But if you are looking for connections, a job, customers, […]
Here is an “animated gif”, i.e. animation without flash, that I created for a client. Please notice it is transparent. Would a bit of simple animation help your site? Here is a SWF file of the same graphic… And another animation without flash… You can purchase a myriad of animated items online […]
Do you know about (e)Newsletters? You know the fancy emails you find in your inbox reminding you of how wonderful that product/company/blogger is, encouraging you to come back; sometimes even offering incentives. Well (e)Newsletters can be dynamic as well. In this case, I’m using Dynamic to describe an ever changing nature. With products like MyNetworkBuilder.com […]
If you haven’t gotten to the “Meet Den” part of this website, you will not know that I was editor of an in-house newsletter for 17 years. It got to the point where I was paid extra for this time-consuming privilege; you see “Take 5″ was a monthly issue that once had a 6 page […]
If you have a lot to say; if you know that your voice is mesmerizing enough to generate sales; or if you just want to be able to connect with your clients more directly… consider what LIVE! Internet can do. And most of the sites/venues offer some type of FREE version. And many offer two […]
For most, finding ways to add audio to your site is simple. Read your site out loud, talk about industry news, tell your story, share testimonials of your product, do an interview, or generate your own podcasts. If you are one of those folks, like me, who prefers to stay out of the lime light; […]
