Developer Coding

Websites maintenance/coding fixes (developer coding):

AskAnAngel.com This site has been around a while, and was migrated to WordPress in 2012. Unfortunately the designer who migrated it was not as thorough as the owner was led to believe. Over a 6 month period of time I completed the transfer, while researching and/or recreating dozens and dozens of missing pages and downloadable content.

DianneLegro.com Was a site that was migrated to WordPress with only a few missing pages. She had allowed me to practice my “documentation” procedures on her site, then when it was discovered that there were missing pages and links her first freelancer missed, she hired me to do it. My documentation procedures not only saved a lot of rewriting, but a number of non-working forms and downloads. I was able to save all but one of her singing downloads, which was inoperable when I was documenting the site. As always, a privilege to serve this incredible soul.

OutcomesInc.com On this site all I was able to accomplish is some CSS coding: making certain logos line up, align and format paragraphs, and upgrade a few graphics (yes I do that too). Their flash graphics and java script menus are simply amazing, but not my work. If I find out who did this work, I’ll pass it on. Their healthcare information solutions provide more than I ever knew about the healthcare industry.

PrimeStrategiesBlog.com There is no link here since this site was merged with the clients new WordPress site. But at one point after we started working on the new site, her blog site was hacked. And since it was a while before the new site was up, I was able to go in and get it back online. But it seems the hacker was doing more damage to WordPress sites in that once you got it back up, you also had to rebuild sidebars. Which was easy since I had already did a documentation of the site in preparations for the move. The documentation had all the photos and content I needed to rebuild these quickly.

CSS, PHP, and HTML fixes, upgrades, and more. Please tell me something “Can’t be done!” I also fix audio and video content.  If you’d like to give this a try yourself, then you can start here!  And don’t forget to check out my maintenance, compliance, and other packages.
Competitive Optimization

Competitive Optimization

Have you taken a look lately at your competitors’ sites?  A real deep look?  Have you compared the amount of different media they have, they type and freshness of their written content, which keywords they use, what their phrases they rank for, what niches do they use to spread the word, which social sites they […]

Web Coding 101

Web Coding 101

Some say, knowing coding is a necessity to create a great site.  There are so many functioning and beautiful websites out there that disprove this, and more online every day.  BUT for the WordPress Aficionado you really need to have an idea of what three main codes do; if nothing else, it makes it easier […]

Website Automation

Website Automation

I will admit there is no way I can cover all the different ways to use plugins the WordPress platform, and other online services, offer to automate your website.  I do know what my clients like and use regularly.  But there is so much more it gives me goose-bumps.  As I explore and test more, […]

“Impossible”… HA!

“Impossible”… HA!

A client had a bad experience migrating his website to WordPress. He wanted the new site to look as much like his old site as possible.  Here is what he got on the first part of the process with another developer. To some degree this difference was understandable, sidebars are widgets.  Widgets can be tricky […]

Update and Upgrade Procedures

Update and Upgrade Procedures

This is one of the few bad things about WordPress.  Depending on the size and complexity of your site… you can have weekly upgrades/updates to your plugins, your theme, or the 2-3 times a year WordPress updates its platform.  Not to mention the upgrades and updates done by your host provider; which they do, but […]

Fixed Codes

Fixed Codes

When it comes to hacked sites, most developers consider this a bitter-sweet situation.  You never hope your client’s website is hacked, but if it is there is no better rush than when you fix it and defeat them!  As for me, I get the same high when I fix bad code and make the site […]

Audio Editing, making you sound better.

Audio Editing, making you sound better.

This is the least used of my services, and yet it should be taken seriously since video is not as interesting without it.  The fact is that editing audio for time and to clean up the noticeable noises keeps your listeners from being distracted or thinking media is amateurish; it is also important as another […]

Audio, so much more than MP3

Audio, so much more than MP3

Audio files aren’t just for music and the radio.  As you know many folks like listening to audio tracks while they are jogging, cleaning, etc.  Audible.com, books for your mp3 player, is very popular.  But is this type of content right for your website, your brand?  Do you know how mp3 is used today? Do […]

LIVE! Web Audio.

LIVE! Web Audio.

If you have a lot to say; if you know that your voice is mesmerizing enough to generate sales; or if you just want to be able to connect with your clients more directly… consider what LIVE! Internet can do.  And most of the sites/venues offer some type of FREE version.  And many offer two […]

What Can I Say?!

What Can I Say?!

For most, finding ways to add audio to your site is simple.  Read your site out loud, talk about industry news, tell your story, share testimonials of your product, do an interview, or generate your own podcasts.  If you are one of those folks, like me, who prefers to stay out of the lime light; […]
